I am new to the reloading world. I just got a Marlin 1895 45/70 and due to the mild factory ammo around here I want to start reloading. I hunt moose up here in Canada and need a good beefed up round. I want to use the 425gr Beartooth Piledrivers. But where oh where do I find data for these bullets? There are so many brands of powder and so many book!!!

Can someone tell me how to safetly start out with these bullets?

I know there are people here using them.... one thing, you might want to list what powders you can commonly get, so you don't get bunch of advice that isn't helpful.

Frankly, I would carefully work up with data from 400gr. jacketed bullets.

50g of H322 winchester primers (i forget the name its the normal non magnum large rifle primers). Down load 10% and work up. This shot clovers all day long in my rifle. if you have not ordered them make sure you get the .460 sized bullets they work best in marlins.
