Welcome to the forum deer hunter. Rules are simple, be nice and join in.

Most of the folks here are hunters and shooters. Though we have a few whom own gun businesses It's near impossible to give you an evaluation on a gun sight unseen. Not only that, but gun values differ in different parts of the country. It's also not a very good idea to post a serial number of a gun on the internet.

If I were you I'd take it to some of the local gun shops and get an onsite evaluation. You'd have a much better idea of it's value. You also might check on some of the internet gun auction sites on rifles simular to yours.

What your asking is much like me asking what my 1970 Ford pickup is worth. There's simply no way folks here could make a reasonably accurate estimate.

I sure hope that you stay and enjoy our forum other than use it for a one time evaluation of a rifle.

The gun was made in 1951. There is a current magazine that can give you a rough idea of what the value is but you still need someone to appraise its condition. I have a Model 64 32 WS that was made in 1955 in fair condition that I was offered $700 for but I wasn't interested in selling anyway.

Winchester never changed the Mod 94 to Mod 55. It was designated the Mod 94 for 112 years. The Mod 55 and Mod 64 were different models based on the Mod 94 action.
