i know i,ve said here before that i,m going ream out and recut an arasaka 6.5 barrel to 28/30/120(which i,ve got) i thought that i,d cover all my options and emailed green mountain barrels for a barrel to fit a win. lowall action. just received a can,t supply answer. does anyone know who can? also remember that here in oss after we line up firearm parts we,ve then got to apply for a permit to import which can take a while. barrelmakers out here can,t cut the twist (1 in 14). :D.

I'm curious about this 28/30/120, b&aroberts, I've never heard of the round? What is it? Sounds to me like it would be like a 7mm on something a little bigger than a .32/20 case...

Brownell's and Midway sell barrel blanks. You'd have to cut the threads for the low wall action.

thanks faucettb i did,nt think of brownell,s. do you have an address for midway? cutting threads is no problem. kilburnie the 28/30/120 was an old stevens black powder round. i want to build one for my grandson he,s slight but very keen and we need all the young shooters we can get.

Here's Midway's link. Just got to thinking that you might need a slow twist barrel for black powder. I haven't done anything in black powder with such small bores so don't know. I do know that you can get 32 caliber black powder barrels.
