Most 1911s will feed just about anything... but also, they will each have their favorites. 230 grain hardball ammo is pretty much the cheapest stuff, but I don't recommend shooting the Wolf brand, aside from it being underpowered, its also very dirty.

I had a Custom 11 but sold it and kept my Springfield. I had an issue with the sights but gun was very accurate but the Springer is to.

I have the Tactical Custom II but have shot the Ultra CDP II, the TLE II, and the Ultra Raptor. All of them were fine shooting weapons. I let a buddy of mine shoot my Tactical Custom and he liked it so much he bought one the following week. I shoot only 230 round nose in mine for paper but keep in loaded with 230 Remington Golden Sabers for concealed carry. I have shot a few factory rounds but mostly I shoot reloads. I load a 230 FMJ over 5 grains of Bullseye with a 1.25" OAL and it functions and shoots flawlessly. The only suggestion I would make is to use the Wilson Combat mags. The Kimber mags are okay but you can not beat the Wilson mags, the springs last forever and they feed perfect every time.
Pro Raptor II here. I absolutly love it. I shoot a 230gn FMJ over 4gn of Bullseye. I have yet to have a malfunction and it doesn't sling the brass as far. For CCW I carry Federal Premium 230gn Hydra-Shok JHP
I Have had many 1911 style pistols over the years some good some not.
Right now I carry a Kimber Pro CDP 2 and love it.

I have a Kimber Pro Custom Carry Stainless. Still fondle it whenever I hold it. It likes everything oretty much. For cheap accurate plinking I lean towards Magtech 200 grain.

Have two. One a Custom Classic with a Klackamas frame stamp. One a BP-10 II widebody. My youngest Marine liked the widebody so much that he staked a claim to it. Biggest ouch about it was the $45. price for mags from Kimber. The Klack is a shooter's dream and I have Chip McCormick mags for it. I have shot a buddy's Ultra CDP and like it very much. Al

I would have to agree with RangeJunkie on everything he said. I was going to post exactly what he did but he beat me to it lol. 230 FMJs for target and 230 GSabers for defense. Good luck.
