I have a question for the Colt collectors do all colt police positive revolvers have serial numbers on them and if so are they located on the butt like most others. I have a friend who has a 1st model I think and I have yet to find a serial number anywhere any help will be much appreciated and thanks.....Ronnie

All Colts have serial numbers usually found in the crane cut and on the crane itself. Colt did not serial number on the butt as most other manufacturers did with the exception of military models.
