I just bought one of the rcbs mega tumblers, loaded it up with about 50 pieces of .270 WSM brass and left it to run for a couple hours. When i came back in the upper part (green tub) was on its side on the floor while the base contenued to vibrate. Is this something that is supposed to be detatchable? How do i fix it? I could just send it to the factory but id like to abvoid it cause it will waste time. I would like any info that could help

If it's something that just came loose you may be able to fix it, but if not then drop an email to RCBS and explain your problem. RCBS is very good about fixing or repairing any problems with their equipment.

Yep, hats off to RCBS. The Rock Chucker I use I bought used about 1980. I got to looking at the new Handel's with the ball on the end and thought I would like one. I called the Factory a couple of weeks ago. Lady named Alice answered the phone and sent me one for free. How's that for customer service.

It sounds like something simple... I can also say that RCBS will continue to get my reloading dollars. They have taken care of me and I will be buying only RCBS products in the future.

You didn't mention whether you bought this used or new but no, the bowl and base, unless you detach it, are not detachable. Suggest you look at the parts to determine if something came off or is possibly broken. The good news is, as the guys have posted, RCBS will fix this for you if you can't do it yourself. I believe RCBS now has a limited warranty on the motor but in your case, this is not the problem.

I've heard of several cases where RCBS went beyond the limited 1 year warranty that they place on electrical items, and have even replaced one purchased used.

Yeah it looks like ill just end up sending it back. I bought it new so the warrenty is still in effect. I called and the guy i spoke to sounded drunk, he could have just been stupid. The rest of the RCBS equipment seems to be doing perfectly fine, thanks for the help
