I posted in the wrong spot and couldnt find where it was put. anyway Does anyone know if these Japanese barrels are button rifled, cut rifled or hammerforged? Its a 1978 B92 Centennial 44mag .I would like to rebore it for 45 colt

Truly don't know about the barrel. Button rifled I think, BUT before you spend the $$ to rebore, why not sell the .44? Check around. The Brownings are in demand and bringing pretty good bucks. Take that coin and buy a new cowboy-tuned EMF from Nate Kiowa Jones and have change left.

I dont want a safe queen or waiting to make some profit on the B92 . I want a working gun that I reload for my Colt and perhaps this leverrifle. But only if this can be done properly.

Why not contact Nate. You may be able to just work out some type of trade where you both come out and it gets done right now. It won't hurt to ask.

His machinist said he could do the rebore only if it was not a hammer forged barrel.I cant seem to find out if it is or not. Otherwise he might have a spare miroku barrel in 45 colt .
