Well the old man is going in to get the valve in his heart replaced in the morning. According to the doc's his arteries are in great shape so this should be a "easy" surgery. Hopefully it will bring him back to the kind of energy he used to have. The good news is the doc says that he has to spend allot of time waling to help strengthen his heart back up so we will spend lots of time walking logging roads hunting deer:D, after a scare like this neither of us care if we shoot another deer together again, were just hoping to have some more hunting time again. Dad is convinced he will make it through the surgery and be fine, mom is a wreck, my sister has been taking care of her.
The other day I was thinking of who I'd call my best friend and hand down it is dad. I hope my boys think as highly of me as I do of my dad (I'm sure that they do).

Once your dad is strong enough give him a hug for all of us as we must all honour fathers!

Just got off the phone with my mom, and dad is doing better surgery went very well, he is still on the iron lung until they get some garbage out of his lungs. All is going well so far.

Hi Bt, just wondering how your father is doing still praying for a complete healing.

He is doing much better. Got go see him yesterday, he should be coming home in a day or two! He said he is feeling better than he was last week before the surgery. He and mom drew their eastern Oregon deer tags along with my sister and her two girls so they have five deer to get this year he says he'll be fine for deer season and is looking forward to this year.
