Any of you folks use Longshot for loading 40 S&W rounds? I see that on the Hodgdon website they list Longshot as the top velocity powder for 155 grain bullets. I have a bunch of speer 155 gold dot bullets and just uncovered a couple pounds of Longshot which had been misplaced during a move. I do want something for full power loads. My pistol is a FNP-40 which does have a fully supported chamber construction. Thank you for any thoughts you care to share as to the powder or the gold dot bullets....

I was just on Hodgdon's website and it looks like the loads for longshot are pretty fast, but not real high in pressure. While a good combination, I would stick to the lower end for work with Gold Dots, otherwise they will function more like FMJ bullets instead of nice hollowpoints.
