Hello all.

I recently received a Colt Police Positive .38 Special (so stamped on the barrel) with the serial number 351XXX (X's are really numbers).

I was wondering if anyone can help me date it. I have documenation dating back to atleast 1967 where it had been signed into a military base but I believe it to be older.

It has the blue barrels and the walnut grips with the brass medalion.

Also, any rough idea of the value of this handgun? It is in excellent condition with little wear to it.
