I am looking for a light recoil load using 210 gr jacketed hollow points, Most of the data I am reading tells me not to load at low levels. I have a S&W model 57 mountain Gun and most loads are really abusive. Does any one have experience wiyh this round

Welcome to the forum Joel. Somehow you got three posts. Anyway rules are simple, be nice and join in.
I have good luck with between 5 and 6.5 grains of titegroup. gives between 850 and 1050 fps and is a mild load to shoot.

Many of the powders suitable for the 41 Magnum are dangerous to reduce below starting loads. I believe Blue Dot is safe for reduced loads, and it is said to be quite accurate for the 41 Magnum.

I "second" the Bluedot idea. Is a very good powder for 41 magnum. Similar powders from other makers should work well too! My own 41 will go "super-sonic" with less than current maximum load data(by a bunch).
Start low and "clock" your load if you can?
Lyman #48 "suggests" a start load of 11.9 grains of Bluedot using 210 grain JHP.
Stay safe!

i LOVE my 41, but i must confess i don't shoot a lot of reduced loads. if you snoop around you should be able to find some 700X loads for cast lead. good luck and good choice!!

Any of the fast pistol or shotgun powders will make successful light loads for the .41. For light loads in my .41 Mag Blackhawk, I usually run 4.0 grains of Bullseye for lead and 5.0 grains for light jacketed loads, which is the same load as .45 ACP hardball, except the pressure is a bit lower in that bigger case.

Try 5.5 grains of TiteGroup and a 215 LSWC bullet with a CCI300 primer. Nice "cowboy action shooting" lever of load. Odessa
