Got out to the range yesterday with my grand daughters to get the Ruger #1 sighted in. Here are some pix of a great day.

Putting up our targets.

Getting the new shooting platform set up. This thing all folds up and fits in a bag.

Now for the shooting.

While the barrel cools on the 243 we'll kill some pop cans with the 22.

This popcan is out of luck today. Notice it's shredded and here it's about an inch off the ground.

Talk about a great day. Nothing beats taking kids shooting.

I was afraid someone would notice that, do you think a hair cut would help? The mountains sure seem steeper now-a-days.

I don't know about the hair cut, but like me, you might want to consider borrowing some from 'you know who'! I'll bet that was just plain fun!

You have a knack for taking photos Bob. Good timing on the pop-can photo. I'd request that you get a similar one on a rockchuck with your 243.:D I'm not going to comment on the hair or age.....!

Bob, my father had a similar hair cut and he used to tell folks that "Some men use their hormones for growing hair and some men use the for other things." Great pics. Looks like you had fun. Nothing like taking kids shooting.

An older friend of mine once told me "If you're balding in the front, you're a thinker. If you're balding in the back you're a lover. If you're balding in both, you think you're a lover":D He still had a full head of hair.:D:D

That looks like it was a good time. You have to watch out for pop cans this time of year, they have been know to attack. Especially if they have been empty and have been refilled with water.

Wheree did you get that shooting rest? It looks like it would be a dandy thing to have when shooting prairie dogs and ground squirrels.

So, when is the young lady going to step up to the 8mm mag :D

Oh and for the record I didn't see no old pfarts in none of them pichers!

I just noticed she's shooting left handed, which means she's in her right mind!

Dan "guess who else is left handed" OK

Actually Dan she's right handed, but left eye dominate, now the other grand daughter is left handed, but shoots right handed. I'm not sure how this happened, but my son says it's my fault.

Anyway here she is a couple of Christmas's ago with the Ruger #1 she shoots. It works for her really well. She's assured me that this year she's taking me hunting and going to get a deer. I messed up last year by having a heart attack and she told me no more of that stuff during hunting season.

What do you mean asking if a haircut would help? It looks like someone stole your hair. rotflo. I'll probably be looking like that soon myself.

By the way, seeing your grandaughter using a bolt action reminds me of learning to shoot a rifle with my grandfathers .22lr Savage of which I have inherited.

Thanks for sharing Bob. Looks like a great outting for everyone. FWIW my forehead is catching up to my bald spot on top too. Not as bad as my youngest brother who is 7 years younger than me. He started shaving his head years ago to make everything uniform.
