Had a little storm roll through early this morning. I had woke up enough to know that it was raining and thundering, but did not hear any wind to speak of. Anyway, I woke up this morning and my new, horse/tractor shed was blown away, along with a couple of big pecan trees. Horse and tractor are fine, but the new building is a total loss.

What a year of weather we have had!

A couple of years ago, we had some severe storms move thru our area. I called my elderly mom from work to make sure she was alright. Since she lived next door to me, I asked her to look out and see if she saw any damage at my place. She came back on the phone and said she did not see any damage. When I got home, I discovered my barn was in my neighbors pasture and I had no roof on my house. I think mom needed her glasses changed.

Tornado alley. Been there, done that. Glad you make it through OK.

Save some wood out of those pecan trees. Great stuff!!!

I appreciate everyone's comments. Looks like the insurance will take care of it. It's just a deflating experience to see something that you worked hard on and worked hard to pay for just get thrashed in about 5 seconds.

But, it's nowhere near the biggest catastrophe we've had, so life will still be fine.
