For sale are LeMat Navy model revolvers (LMT 101 Navy) manufactured by Pietta. I believe these were bought from Navy Arms between 1999 and 2001. Both are New-in-Box with papers that accompanied each. Serial numbers are slightly unusual. One is Lxx701. The other is Lxx710. I place no premium on serial numbers. The graphic showing a field stripped LeMat and small full view graphic are not one of my revolvers. They are inserted for reference only.

I did a search for selling prices. Here's what I found:
1. No new Navy models in stock.

2. Lowest price shown is Cabela's Cavalry model @ $749.00.

3. Highest price shown is Regimental Quartermaster's Cavalry model @ $1099. This company was the only one I found that listed Army and Navy models. Both are out of stock.

Selling prices are: $725.00 for either revolver; $1400.00 for the pair -- to your door.

These are percussion cap lock muzzleloaders. They are legal to own. They can be shipped directly to you unless your state or municipality prohibits direct shipping.

Are these 12 or 20 gauge? Anything you'd be interested in trading them for?

Naphtali-

Thanks for the e-mail, but you still didn't answer my question on the shotgun gauge. Are they 12 or 20 gauge? Also, are there any accessories included?

Thanks for the e-mail, but you still didn't answer my question on the shotgun gauge. Are they 12 or 20 gauge? Also, are there any accessories included? Ooops.

The modern LeMat reproductions are incarnations of the 1863 mechanism, the one whose lock work is both reliable and somewhat adjustable, but don't ask me how to do it. The chamberings are nine .454-caliber revolver shots centered around a cylinder pin that is a .65-caliber smoothbore. This is nominally a 20 gauge. The standard combat load from the Civil War was 18 #4 buck. If I search my LeMat book (Forgett and Laidlaw), I could probably find the powder charge also. By the way, this is a superb reference for the LeMat family of revolvers.

Civil War LeMats had nine .42-caliber revolver chambers surrounding a nominal 20 gauge cylinder pin. Pietta discovered modern materials used in manufacture allowed a slightly larger revolver chambering was safe. I suspect another reason was to make sure people didn't buy Piettas and counterfeit them as originals.

Hope this helps.
