Here is a picture (7/16/2008) of some mule deer bucks taken by the administrator of the school at which I am teaching summer school. This was just after they had crossed the playground and entered an adjacent trailer park.

It's in Lander, Wyoming. We have a sizable group of deer that live in and around town. Every few years, we seem to get a group of bucks that roam around the edge, where town meets country.

Obviously, it is not deer season....

Look at the ear of the bad boy on the left. He's evidently tussled with his buddies in the fall! The town I grew up in in eastern Montana has had to open up a bow season to get rid of the mule deer. Aggressive deer had injured several dogs and that was enough to finally upset the old ladies!

Come fall they had better be on the look out for 15, 16 year olds with bows. I tend to think most deer like these seem to have a sixth sense as to when season is and disappear.
Nice picture!

Bowhunting is legal in the city limits, I think, but if anyone hunts during bow season, they must not say anything to anybody because I haven't heard of any deer being taken in town. It is a little frustrating to spend all day Sunday hunting and maybe seeing one small buck, and then waking up on Monday morning to go to work, looking outside to see one of these bigger ones munching on your shrubs.

OR he got hit in the ear by a guy who missed the rest of the deer with his 300 super whooper magnum.
I live in a suburban area and I saw the little wench who has been eating my tomato plants, along with her 2 half grown spotted fawns, walking down the road, to the park.

There is a feature on this board where you can not initially show the pics but has a click that will bring it up if you want to see it. Everyone should use this feature. You will never be bothered by the size of pics again. Also the pics you have already seen will not load every time. It is a great feature.
