Name this scat and these tracks. OOPS! The tracks pic was a little too large. It was just deer tracks anyway.

I will guess coyote or dog and that they wished they had some Preparation-H after they passed those persimmon seeds.

The seeds in the pic don't look familiar. They are not wild persimmon seeds I don't believe. At the top right it kinda looks like a broken pecan(not wild) there.

Can't tell if that is hair in the scat. If no hair it will not be yote or domestic dog. Could be hog although I have never seen seeds that big in their droppings. Also hog poo is usually alot darker.

I would have to say that I don't know. Actually there is only one way to say for sure. Same way as I would tell my sports in Maine when asked,"is that bear poo"?

EDIT TO ADD : The seeds look really close to wild pecans(not quite as dark though) Were they hard as a rock ? Hogs can usually crunch them up but have seen some in their scat.
