Here's my back yard in the summertime. Been trying to figure out a way to post a target, but as far as I can figure I'd need a target frame at least 400 feet high! The ridgeline in the back is the Clinch Mountains of Virginia. I live two miles from the VA line, as you look straight across the valley, and 12 miles from NASCAR's Bristol Motor Speedway.I call my home Darnnearvirginia, Tennessee :D

This is the same shot in the winter time.

See what I mean about needing a 400 foot high target stand?

The woods around us make a great backdrop for taking pictures of guns. See what I mean....

......even when there are no leaves on the trees, the valley makes another swell backdrop for photos of guns.

Here's a photo of the street in front of the house just a little before muzzle loading season. No, the neighbors won't let me hunt here!! Wish they would, we're loaded with white tails and turkey. Most of us are on two acre lots but County Ordnance won't allow us to shoot here in the development. We have to go down the hill a ways.

This is one of my all time best photos. It was taken after a rainstorm in June of '07 at the National D Day Memorial in Bedford, Virginia. Be sure to go there if you ever get the chance. It will bring tears, guaranteed.

I'm a transplanted Californio who has made his home in East Tennessee for the past 12 years and will do so until the Rapture occurs or death us do part. It's the most beautiful place in the world.........except for where you live, of course. Best wishes.

JP if you live that close to the race track. Your pictures must be of Carters Valley. Takes me about 15 min to get to Blountville turn off. Where do you shoot at? We have a range at the foot Bays Mt. I was in the 6th Army long time ago.

Very nice ...... I appreciate rural living and it looks like you are in a super location. I triangulated the area 100 yards from your first photo. You only need a target stand 387 feet tall.
