Does anyone know any links or could anyone help me a little with trying to find out if I would like doing this kind of stuff or not. I don't really want anything serious just things like little tournaments here and there just to see if I liked it. I guess you would say I am a junior since I am not 18. My parents want me to get into sports and things like that at school which I don't really want to and I am already in the archery club there. I suggested shooting and they said I would have to find out more about it first.

I like shooting my bb gun at cards.

Here are some pic's...... I hope.

I shoot competitively in High Power & Vintage High Power and USPSA Handgun matches.
www.uspsa.com (http://www.uspsa.com) for pistol shooting
www.odcmp.com (http://www.odcmp.com) for rifle shooting and to find a rifle club near you
You'll find there are a lot of opportunities for Junior shooters. The scoring is easier on Juniors and there are lot of older shooters that will really help out.

One of the best things I have found with my competitive shooting is that the other shooters are very helpful.

You might check with your local rifle range to see if they offer a smallbore shooting program for junior shooters. I started shooting competitively when I enrolled in junior ROTC in high school. The school provided the range and the army provided all the equipment along with coaching. Competitive shooting teaches self-control which is exactly what I needed at that time. Best wishes.

Hey bigcheese,You might see if there is a 4-H Shooting Sports program in your area. It seems my county now has a fairly active one. I think they have BB, air rifle, small bore, muzzle loader, and shotgun.
