That's a beautiful sight. And a "hello" to Oklahoma. I used to go there to visit family when I was a child. Lots of dear memories. I do love that red dirt.

What part of Oklahoma? Here in Northeaast Oklahoma, we have black dirt and it not only grows wonderful deer but, tomatos, potatoes, corn and other good vegetables as well....

Has to be west of OKC, maybe down around the Chickasha area.
Look close and you'll see that second fawn behind the doe.

My wife is still unhappy with me when I tought the Grand daughters to call those "hamburger friends". Great pix.
Nice camera shot.
Looks like you are North of us in Jack County Texas.
Assissin: Norman, Duncan, Comanche, and wherever that beautiful place was that became a lake in the early 60s. We used to collect rose rocks there. Will have to ask my mother where the lake was put in, if she can remember. We also went to Bartlesville quite often. But Norman/OKC, where the grandparents were, was the main place when we were very small.
faucettb, I don't eat venison, but, that is funny.

LBR, you're probably thinking of Lake Texhoma. It's north of Our place in Charlie Texas, (Just outside of Whitcha Falls.) And yes, there is plenty of red dirt there.

Wow! Good shot. That doe is sure ready to go. The little guys don't have a clue. I bet the doe was just a blur in the next frame. To get an arrow in her with my recurve I would have had to shot at the ground beneath her cause that is where she would have been at the sound of the release if I could even get drawn at all. Probably would have had to pass. She is just too alert.

I actually had the camera set to take 1-picture every five minutes and as such, this was the one and only picture of the doe and her baby. I have the timer set this way because of the cows we have on the property. I was trying to avoid taking pictures of all of them....

Hi David, that is a great picture, we are going to be setting up ours in a few weeks as it is only about 40 more sleeps until Elk season opens.
