I have a Miroku 5000 over and under with steel ball sights on it and I want to put high vis sights on it for trap and duck shooting. What colours do people recomand putting on. It has 2 sights. One at the end of the barrels and a small one half way down the barrels. Same colour for both or different colours or do away with the middle one altogether. Thanks

If you add a "high vis" sight replace only the front sight and let the middle bead in place. The purpose of the middle bead is to check that you have properly mounted the gun and you are looking parallel to the barrel (by noting its position relative to the front bead), not for aiming. When shooting a shotgun you should be looking at what you are shooting and not at the bead sights. Looking back at the beads is a common cause of missing. I shoot a few thousand trap targets a year and recommend not using a high vis sight (I've tried one and took it off again). The beads are on the barrel only to allow you to check that the gun is mounted properly not for aiming (except for standing turkeys).

Words outta my mouth. But my favorite shotgun sight is a white dot on the end and a silver center bead. This is great for competitive skeet shooting.
