Hey, hey, hey now! It's a spry 45, not 46!:D

Thanks fellas. I "celebrated" by going on a camping trip and high mountain lake hike with friends.

I suspect you know you'd better enjoy 'em while you can cause they don't get any easier.....I'm at the stage where my hikes are inside a golf cart around the trailer park!

Happy belated Birthday Shawn!
Catch any fish up there?

100 or so around here depending on whose thermometer you look at. Good chance it will be the last time this high till next summer, but warm fall days and cool nights is sure a nice time of the year

Thx Marlin, and yes, I caught some nice cutthroat. Not huge in the lake - 12"-14" is a big one there - but it's sure fun and those fish sure are pretty.

Our Friday night campout brought freezing temps at 7200 ft elevation, and I was nice and toasty in the wall tent, WITH the wood stove this time! Saturday night was considerably warmer, and the afternoon at home is 90F.

DOK, I hear ya about my limited time doing hikes like this. I've been to the lake 5 or 6 times now, and was always under the impression based on map scaling that it was between 4-5 miles one way. One of the guys made the mistake of taking his GPS and we 'discovered' it's 6.99 miles....one way!!! Now I'm not sure I can do that hike anymore.
