Hi everyone, I'm a newbee and just wanted to tell you how great your forum is. I spent nearly 3 hours before I realized I wasn't legit (that's a joke, son, pay attention). So I'm registered now (legit) and hope to join all you fine folks comments in the forum. Thanks.

Welcome rayford2, With a joke like that, I had to take another look and be sure that your handle wasn't "Foghorn Leghorn".

Welcome to the forum Ray. Rules are simple, be nice and join in.
I used to get thru Penn. often when I was driving truck, what beautiful country. I especially liked it in the fall when everything was turning red and gold. Sure saw some big deer out that way, sadly most of them dead near the freeways. Hay how come you guys got so many racoons out there? Must have been 50 squashed ones per mile of highway.
Like Frank says, lots of friendly folks here from all over the country and a bunch of nice guys from other countries also. You can ask questions, and do take a look at some of the resources on The Beartooth Bullet side (click the tab on top) There are some great articles and info in our technical section and our tips section.
Welcome to the Site! Just remember that its the posters that make a good board. If the majority of the members want a good board, they will set the atmosphere where it will be a friendly and considerate Board. On a Board this big, there will always be some that will join just to cause trouble. If they are ignored and let the Mods handle them, it will remain a good Board. I visit a lot of Internet Boards, and one thing I've noticed is that Good Boards attract Good Members, and Boards where anything goes attract like kind of people. People like to associate with the same kind of people that they are. :)

Hi rayford2, You sure picked the right forum. Everyone here is friendly and there is not a question you can ask regarding shooting or hunting that will not be answered.
I have never seen a forum with this kind of knowledge. Enjoy!

Hey, Rayford: Welcome. I think this is the best shooting forum around. Never had a question or a problem that wasn't answered quickly by folks with experience. Also, there is no nonsense - any unpleasantness is squashed pronto, which I must attribute to the very good moderators. --Mykal

Vigorus moderators. Really vital and vigorous. Youthful below their chronological years. Handsome beyond, uhh, well, something-or-other. At least, that's what I keep trying to convince my wife of about myself (but only when she doesn't have her contacts in). Still, she persists in thinking the something-or-other is a member of the Equidae family. I'll have to look that up someday.

"Equidae is the family of horse-like animals, which belong to the order Perissodactyla (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perissodactyla). It is sometimes known as the horse family. Apart from the horse (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horse), other extant equids include assorted subspecies of donkey (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donkey), and the zebras (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zebra). All of these are in the genus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genus) Equus."
I prefer to think of you as having the stamina of a donkey, Nick! :D Never meeting you tho, cannot tell if you have the cross on your back.:p
Surely youthful, and handsome as self described....
Myself on the other hand, well the Mrs. says I'm more of the horse's pa-tooooot!
Welcome to the forum Ray, stay a spell, I'm sure you'll like it!

rayford2, I'll add my welcome to this tyrade!!
Now listen here boy, I say, listen here!! All the moderators are not old pharts, some are ancient pharts!! :D:D:D:D (in my best Foghorn Leghorn)
A great bunch all in all I'd say. More info here than the Webster's unabridged dictionary AND a set of Funk and Wagnel encyclopedias.

Chris,
Actually my wife carefully chose the family that includes the jackass, though that sentiment is only intermittent, thank goodness. There's a very funny page in Richard Lederer's book, Anguished English, about a student submitting a paper describing a job in South America that required him to ride a "burrow" to work every day. The teacher grading the paper felt compelled to point out this student clearly didn't know his you-know-what from a hole in the ground. Some errors are just too good to pass up.
Ray, see what your joke started? A forum is a precariously balanced thing.
hope its ok to introduce myself here, didnt want to start a new thread just to say hey...
