If you think of it, please pray for lives to be spared here on the Texas Gulf Coast. We expect 100 mph winds which also means downed power lines and rising water. I'm 35 miles from where they expect landfall (Freeport) and 20 miles from Galveston.

OK, I'll pray that you listen to the weathermen and move to higher ground. That's why God gave us weathermen.

Reminds me of Bubba, who was going to ride out a flood and prayed for God to save him. As the waters rose an emergency worker comes by in a 4WD truck, telling Bubba to get in. Bubba said, God will save me, I am staying. The water continued to rise and the emergency worker came back in a boat telling Bubba, to evacuate. Bubba replies, he was putting his faith in the Lord, to save him. Just as the water was about to overrun the dam the emergency worker comes by in a helicopter telling Bubba he had to get out now because the dam was going to burst. Bubba agained refused to leave. The dam burst and the valley was flooded and Bubba drowned. As Bubba was entering heaven he asked God, why he had not rescued him. God replied I sent you a 4WD truck, a boat, and a helicopter, what were you waiting on?
