I found the above article in the Fall 2008 issue of "Fair Chase" which describes the historical relationship of humans with large predators very interesting; including the possibility of the large, now extinct, predators of North America preventing earlier colonization of the New World by humans. "Fair Chase" is the official publication of the Boone and Crockett Club and the same issue has 3 articles on wolves from different perspectivws.
