As anyone who doesn't live under a rock probably knows, the voters in this country just elected two of the worst anti-gun politicians to ever hold executive office. The question at this point is, what can gun owners do?
It's pointless to gnash teeth and make accusations.
My suggestion is to immediately join as many pro-gun organizations as you can. While there will no doubt be a mad rush to buy items that shooters feel are in danger of being banned next, we are overlooking the fact that it is a lot easier to defeat the bans before they get started.
There are national elections in two years. We need to get organized, strongly support those who lobby for us, and put our money where our mouth is.
For little more than the cost of a box of cartridges every year, it is simply inexcusable that any gun enthusiast is not a member of the NRA. Whether you agree with 100% of what they do (and I don't know anyone who does), they are THE strongest and best known national gun lobby.
Join / renew / upgrade today.
Next in line, I would suggest your state rifle association. Personally, I have seen how hard they worked for passage of concealed-carry laws in my state, including reciprocity with other states. My membership is an absolute bargain compared to their work to ensure my rights are upheld.
Last, there are other national gun rights groups. If you have a computer, use a search engine and find some. Here's a few names: Gun Owners of America. Second Amendment Sisters. Check this link for more:

It's just inexcusable to run out and spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on things that may or may not be banned, when a couple of memberships solve the problem before it starts.
Politicians watch the numbers. Don't forget to keep an eye out for legislation that would infringe on your rights, and write/phone/email your opposition.
I'm joining some new groups and writing a renewal check to the NRA this week. Are you?
