Okay fellows, despite running a solid two months behind on everything in my life I have posted the results for PMVI. Thank you very much for your patience. As always I expect some corrections to the information and even Match Category/Class as this is a bunch of info to sift through. The target scores should be solid.

Nice shooting fellows.
Thanks for putting on the match and following through this year Michael. We appreciate it.

Wow! I shoot well against myself, I should have sent in a third scope offhand target!:D Just don't have the eyes to compete in the open sight bench though, Good shooting guys!
Michael, a big thank you for even bothering to wrap the match up, I know it probably was the last thing you needed to do lately. Thanks again!

Great shooting Mike! When you take all three top spots it isn't an accident.
Now the search begins for Savage 99's. Thank you Mike, for helping to empty our pockets of much needed cash spent in search of that elusive "Buchanan Beater". Did they ever chamber that puppy in 22-250?

I think I’ll be holding onto my Marlins for a while.;)
Great shooting everyone, way to go Mike.
Thanks to Michael for running this PM for us.
Congratulations to all. Mike, I happily pass on the mantle to you bro. Great shooting there!!

I look for a 30-30 Model 99 now and then on the auction sites. I may have to step it up.

I'm looking for a 30-40 it's a great cast bullet shooter or at least my Krags are.:D
We need to get the signatures updated for the current winners. I deleted mine, :sob: :cries like a girl:
Just wait till next year!

Wow, 2 things I thought I'd never see on this board, Marlin guys falling over themselves to get a Savage and only 1 444 in the top 3 spots in any category. Great Shooting everyone!!

There’s two 444’s in but mine could only tie for third.:p
Really hoping for a new behemoth 432-350gr bullet for next years match, should be just about right.
A little something for “Flat Top”, this will give you something to tune against for next years match. The # 1 target from this years match, a .328” 5-shot group, open sights from the bench…

Rowdy!!!! You sir, are a "show off"!!! LOL!!!! Good...no, "Great" Shooting!!! Congrats are well deserved!!!! Man, I dont think my old eyes could even see the target at 50 yards, let alone hit it with iron sights!...........so, here is my game plan: I am going wear my magnifying glasses (300's) then put one of my old 24X Lyman Siebert benchrest scopes (1/16 MOA dot) on the peashooter, and work up some "target" loads (something that wont recoil so hard and hurt me....like these darn hunting loads do). Then I am going to duct tape the rifle to the shooting bench (thanks to Red Green for that little tip), velcro myself to the stool....hold on for dear life and try to at least hit something! I may be sending a backstop to Ranchdog for scoring...if the shipping costs arent to high!!!

Mike nice shooting. But be where I have a new toy to play with this year!! Just picked up a 336W 30-30! So far it shows some real promise! :)

I got one question how do you get a .458" bullet to make a .328" hole????

I got it. Shoot it thru a .328 barrel. Pressures may go a bit high if it don't stick but that would do it.:)

Gunnut; Mr. Rowdy's reputation precedes him. I have heard that he is a legend in the world of levergun accuracy....and can do many things with a levergun that mere mortals such as ourselves, can only dream about doing. Therefore, Mr. Rowdy putting together a .328 group with 45 cal bullets does not surprise me at all..........He is a legend in his own time (...and, in his own mind!).

Isn't group measured from the outside then have 1 caliber subtracted giving an "on center" measurement?

JB12; I think that Ranchdog measures the overall group size (outer edge to outer edge, extreme spread). In Benchrest competition we measured the center to center extreme spread, and thats the way I have always measured my groups, but, to do that accurately benchrest shooters use a special measuring device.

Looks like everyone is coming out of winter hibernation OK, except for Flat Top who seems to be a little flat on one side and limp on the other :p
Sure do hope Ranch Dog has the time to run the postal match again this year :D
Gunnut45/454 –
The groups for the PM are measured from the target center to the center of the farthest shot. Although a .328” group is good; a perfect group would be a 0.000”
Ranch Dog uses some scoring software for his scanner I believe.

Rowdy; good to see you back on here!!! Yup, FT went through a long rough winter, but, now that the temps are warming, and the racing season has started, I am gaining my equilibrium back...I should be fit as a fiddle in no time!!!!
