Greatings.

I´m a new member making my first thread, and as my username says, I´m from Sweden.

I have a question, does Lyman bullet mold fit in a RCBS moldhandle? I have sold Lyman bullet mold to a customer but Lyman don´t have the handle until end of next month( the customer order this before Christmas!!) So if anyone know, I will be happy to know.

I hope You all understand my English:)

Lars

You could e-mail RCBS.

Lyman and RCBS handles are interchangeable.

Some Lyman and RCBS handles are interchangeable. It depends on their age, and whether they're made for single-cavity or multiple-cavity moulds.

I found that I could use a file to make my old Lyman handles fit.

Welcome to the forum. The rules are to join in and enjoy yourself and continue to be polite.

I think you'll find the inexpensive Lee handles made for their 6-cavity molds will also work. As mentioned above for the RCBS handles, you may need to file them a little for best fit because the precision of the casting process is limited, but they won't need a lot of that. The main difference is in the length of the jaws. The Lyman handles have shorter jaws because their mold blocks aren't very large. The longer ones don't hurt anything. Just don't slam the mold halves together with them. Mold handles should be operated at a relaxed pace anyway to avoid having the mold registration pins batter their mating holes on the other half of the blocks.

Lars,
If you want a happy customer, sell him Lyman handles for his Lyman molds. Mixing brands can lead to making adjustments just so the parts will fit.

Your English is much better than my Swedish. My Swedish stops at "Volvo".:D
