Hi there,
anybody can write an opinion about Rapine moulds?
How they compare to other well known brands, namely LEE or Lyman?
Particularly, does anybody own the 451500 one ?
come on boys,help me...............

Never owned one, but never heard anything against them, either. Have you looked on the Cast Bullet Association site?

I had a set of them for .60 round ball and they worked good.
Work very well. Kind of look junky but they work very well. I've used over 20 of them without any problem.
If you are interested in shooting Civil War guns, originals or repliacs, you can buy both the brass and a mould from Rapine. That is the only way I know of to get a mould that will exactly fit such brass, like for the Burnside or Maynard.
I don't know, however, if he is still in business.
