I am a new guy on the street and need some info on my winchester 70 xtr. To start with it is a 257 roberts, I would like to know what the twist would be and if a 100 gr bullet would work well.

Welcome. If it's a Roberts and it won't shoot 100gr. bullets, there is truely something wrong with it. I've been using one for a few years and just FYI, the cheap Rem 100gr. factory bullets work great.
