Does anyone have any experience with the Lee 200 grain bullet, for use in a .44 Magnum. I have my Lyman 240 grain Keith for when I want to load it up with 2400, but I wouldn't mind having a lighter bullet for casual shooting and practice.

It's an excellent bullet for light weight applications. This is my favorite practice bullet for my 6 1/2 inch Smith 629 Classic. Very accurate with 9.5 grns of W-231, standard CCI 300 primers. in 44 Mag brass. From my gun this combo produces abourt 1,150 fps. If not hunting big game, this load does everything I need from my 44 Magnum. One problem to note. When my supply of gifted bullets ran out I ordered a Lee 6 cavity mould of the same design. It does cast beautiful bullets. Unfortunalty they're all .427 to .428 from all six cavities and therefore useless in my Smith. I going to send mine back to Lee who guarantees stated diameter (.429) minus zero and up to .003 oversize. I wouldn't hesitate recommending the mould, but I would carefully check casting diameters with the first few bullets to make sure your mould is not undersize. Good luck....

This one of my favorite 44 bullets. I use it a lot in my 44 special loads also. The bullet falls out of my mold at .431 and 225 grains. I don't even size it. I just tumble lube it and load em. This bullet works well in 44 mag carbines due to the round nose flat point design. I usually push these bullets with Unique to around 1100 in the 44 mag and 850 in my 44 special revolvers. Great tin can killer....
