I recently won a auction on ebay for a lymann 45 lubesizer I am not sure if it is complete but on the auction before bidding I was informed that it was indeed complete. I am trying to find a copy or anything of the original manual or instruction sheets showing a parts list and illistration of the lubesizer so i it isn't all there I can get what I need, it is really in great shpe. Well thanks very much for any hepl that anybody can give me:o

You can contact Lyman though their website. The operating principle is the same as the new ones and the current dies and top punches fit. They haven't changed in over 100 years. You could order the $2.00 manual and go from there. Perhaps another forum member has a parts list.

I want to thank you very much for the information this is my first time that I have used a sizer. I geuss maybe I should have bought a newer one, but there is just something to be said for the simplicity of older equipment and the way they hold up!:)
Thanks again Ed!

I found a PDF of the Lyman 45 instruction sheet deep in the back of my hard disk and it was just small enough to upload.
A couple of points. Your sizer may have some lube in it thats well past it's best before date. The usual method of cleaning it out is to strip down the sizer, put it in a pail of water deep enough to cover it, and boil the lube out. It should float to the top. Let it cool down to room temperature and skim the lube off before extracting the sizer.
The 45 doesn't have a reputation for strength so avoid hard cast bullets and use enough heat on hard lubes. The 45 holds the die in with a setscrew instead of the nut used on later models. That's why there's an otherwise unnecessary groove in the die below the o-ring.
Wheel weight bullets take a couple of weeks to harden. If you cast in the afternoon and size that evening you'll save wear & tear on the sizer and your arm.

Thank You Again Ed!:D
