I built a small cannon several years back, we fire it with a top flash hole and a match. It fires a .998 cal ball w/greased cotton cloth, w/ 400 gr of BP behind it from a 6" barrel. My question being, does anyone have any idea what a .998 cal ball weighs? My scale dont go up that high. By the way it shoots POA at 50 yds.

1497 grains in pure lead, from that calculator. It doesn't offer the iron option for cannoneers, but that works out to 1030 grains.
