I've noticed that the news has sort of dropped off about our troops in Iraq and other countries. How quick we forget the men and women in uniform that are protecting us and our nation. They should be in our prayers daily and often. Being a Viet Vet, I know for sure, prayer pays off. ARC LITE

Today, while the national anthem was being played at the University of Iowa football game, all I could think about was the words and our soldiers going in harms way.

Even though I'm Canadian, I honor the US military and pray for them, knowing that my liberties are also dependent upon them. America is the last bastion of freedom and without her, we would all be in trouble.

I thank the Americans serving in this war and I thank America for doing what's right, despite the opposition of the cowardly.

May God continue to bless America.
