Well, considering my company isn't in a firearms-related business and we are ENCOURAGED to carry firearms at work...

The '94 ban will sunset. It's written into the law. The question should be, "Will the AW ban be replaced by another before it sunsets?" Followed by, "Will the replacing law be more or less restrictive?"

I don't know the exact wording, but I believe that it will sunset unless a bill by congress is passed and signed into law by the presiding president.
Since Bush II has said he WILL sign into law any bill making the AW ban continue I'd wager that there will be a last minute push by all the players to get such a law passed. I think it is pre-ordained that this law will not only continue, but that it will morph into a much more restrictive burden on all of us Americans.

IMHO: the Republican congress will not vote to renew it. They can get away with that because there are so many in the body and many come from "gun safe" districts. They will also not want to anger a key constituency in an election year. If they do, they deserve to all be thrown out and this country, it's sheeple, and the Dummycrats all deserve each other!
Bush can say he will sign it - this gets him points with the sucker-moms and muderates, but since he shouldn't get anything to sign anyway, it is of no matter.
Been to a gun show recently? These things are stacked on the tables 3-deep, and the prices aren't much higher then 10 years ago, except for the pre-bans. Ban? What ban? Only thing different is a few cosmetic changes ...

I believe it will. All we can really do is hope and vote accordingly. :)
