I'm looking for a 1st .22 for my son. Would prefer break open type single shot with iron sites. I want him to learn to make each shot count right from the start. Needs to be a youth rifle...small and light but reasonably accurate too. Used would be best but new would be OK too. Any suggestions?

Looked at the NEF guns but no open sights. Henry has a nice little bolt gun but I would prefer a break open type single shot.

I bought my son a Rossi with both .22 and 410 barrels. I take it Grouse hunting with the 410 barrel. Come to think of it, I tend to use it a lot more than him!

There is a forum called "Rimfirecentral" they discuss many different brands of 22lr and other related topics. Look at the CZ section in that forum. CZ has a web site "CZ USA".
They make a youth rifle that you can feed one round at a time.
