What do you guys find is the best way to clean your guns.

This is how I clean my bolt action.

Remove bolt, scrub with cutips and cloth dipped in solvent, then dry and oil and grease bolt handle(remington rusts very fast). Then I run the brush through the barrel, then swab it with gun cleaning solvent. I let it sit for about a mintue and run some cleanpatches through. Then I run a combination of wet and dry patches until it is clean. Then I oil the inside with an oiled patch.


How should I clean the outside of a barrel??

Make suggestions as you see fit, im only 14.

You will find as many ways of cleaning guns as you will find shooters.

For the outside, I just wipe down with Break-Free.
