Has anyone put "Mojo" open sights on their military surplus rifles? If so, were there any problems putting them on, and did they help with aiming the rifle better?

density1; Well, it's been about 10 weeks since you posted. If you were sincere to start, you'r probably pretty discouraged by now. Perhaps everyone else who read your post is in the same boat as I am. What'n heck is a MOJO site? Anyhow, to be presumptuous, I strip off any mid or open site from my mil'ty rifles and find a receiver site to install. It's the only way I can shoot them. I'll try to drop back daily for a while to see if you have a comment. Pepe Ray

I have already replaced my mil spec open sights on my M-48 mauser with the MOJO's. I like them as they are easy to install and remove, if you want to go back to the orginal sights. The gun defiantly shoots better with them and the company that makes them seems reliable. Midway has just started to sell them. There is no drilling and tapping involved like with the Williams peep sights.

Density, are you replacing the front blade also? The sharp-pointed military front sights are a booger to see in low light, especially once the blueing starts to wear off.

Thanks for the tip. I could use a few of these myself.

Yes I replaced the front sight with their "Phase 3". Basically it's a double aperture. You look through a tunnel at the target. One of the things they do is make the front sight taller than the orginal. Usually I find the mil surp sights cause the gun to shoot high. Aim at the bottem of the target to hit the black. The rear has a windage adjustment too. I like that. The ones I got far my Mauser seem very well made and fit perfect.

I installed the T38 MOJO sights on a YUGO Mauser. At 100 yds I got 2 out of 5 in the bull. Yes, they helped!

Yes, they do seem to help with the milsurp mausers.
