I hope Hodgdon doesn't discontinue any IMR powders, as I use more IMR powders and they're cheaper to boot.
Bye
Jack
I asked Hodgdon that question. Their reply:
We have no plans to consolidate the lines from either company. We feel that they both have unique (excuse the wording) features and advantages. We will continue to supply the products unchanged and from current plants. We look forward to doing more aggressive marketing and updating some of the IMR data etc. We hope that you will continue to use our products and appreciate the business that you have given us in the past.
Thanks,
Phil Hodgdon

With Hodgdon's excellent stance on giving shooters the current data for cartridges, this might well be the best thing that has ever happened concerning IMR powder in quite some time. I've been very underwhelmed with IMR's data for many years. Let's hope this is a big step forward.
I'll 2nd that, kicH -
Been a fan of both IMR and Hodgdon for years, although of late the "N" series of the VihtaVuori powders have caught my attention.
This isn't really bad. I don't think there is any doubt that Hodgdon is comitted to the shooting sports, and they surely understand the business. Think what would happen if IMR was sold off to typical MBA mentality management that would Dilbertize it (like happened to S&W awhile back).
