If you support the bible's definition of marriage being one man and one woman, to the exclusion of all others, then please call your Representative and Senator this week and ask them to support the Federal Marriage Ammendment. It will prevent the courts from redefining marriage. For more info go to www.family.org

Thanks.

I sent an e-mail to both my Senators. I will post their responses here. If I get any. The last one I sent to Hillary on a religion issue ( The Ten Commandments) was not answered.

One of the reasons I left Washington State is because of liberal politics. You might consider that.

The bible is replete with men of God, beloved by Him, that had more than one wife. Here's a few: Abraham, Jacob, David, Solomon, Gideon, on and on...In fact if you will look in 2nd Samuel chapter 12, verse 4 you will discover that God gave the plural wives of the dead king Saul to David!! Does God sin? In fact monogamy is Babylonian, Roman and Greek in nature. If the amendment in question were to say that marriage can only be between a man and a wife and/or wives I would support it. If you think the new testament outlaws polygyny.. you are in error.. in fact in Matthew 25 Christ describes himself symbolically as a man betrothed to plural brides to be...He would NEVER describe Himself as a sinner! Oh how little does man understands God's written word or plan!

Well AC, you are beginning to "give away" who you are.

Tell me, when God said that it was not good for Adam to be alone, what was God's provision?

Just because God gave one wife at first to Adam, does not mean God would not have given him more, later, IF Adam had proved worthy by proper stewardship... David, the man in 2nd Samuel, was "a man after my own own heart", said God, yet God gave him many wives.

Who am I? A man that loves my Master and also enjoys the freedom of His service. I keep the 10 commansdments as best as I can, believe Christ is the risen savior of Israel ONLY in this era, (see Matthew 10:6 and 15:24) and I speak His word to who will hear (not many today) If you insinuate that I am a Mormon, etc... you are incorrect. All organized religion is a sham and apostate, today. I would rather stand on a lonely hill with my Master than be with 6 billion wicked or mislead. By the way I never belonged to Armstrong's church either..I only learned of his writings after his death. I don't follow men anyway, religious or political. God's will in all things.

Well AC, I'm glad you understood the point.

God did not give multiple wives to David. These men of God were sinning by taking more than one wife, pure and simple. David sinned by taking multiple wives, just like he sinned when he murdered Uriah and committed adultery with his wife. Was this sad affair the gift of God to David?
