Anyone have any experiance with the P-12 LDA? I have a deposit on one and would appriciate objective opinions from those who have used it. Thanks in advance.

Not the LDA, but I do have the P-12. I don't expect much difference in what I have to say though. The LDAs that I have handled are truely sweet in regards to their trigger. That part of it you will love. Now, I did not shoot mine before starting to work on it. I replaced the sights, grip safety, hammer, sear, mag release, slide release, back strap, and grips. OK, ready to start shooting. WRONG. It would hang up (fail to feed) about every 20 to 30 shots, and nothing I did would have caused it. A good polishing of the ramp cured the problem. About the only thing I didn't replace or alter, the barrel, was the problem. The ramp looked nice and polished so I didn't touch it at first; I should have. It is quite accurate, but I did not care for it much at all as it came from the factory, and I wanted a relatively small carry weapon. Only trouble was, after I got it all fixed up and reliable enough to carry, I found out how heavy a SS P-12 fully loaded is. I still have it but now it just sees target use. I carry a HK USPC .45 now. Much better and did not require any tweeking to make it suit me and function 100%.
Point: If your LDA does have reliability issues, the first place I would look is a good polishing of the ramp. Even now after shooting 200-300 rounds of UMC ammo the ramp will get dirty to the point that I will have a fail to feed. Cleaning off the ramp immediately cures the FTFeed for another 100 rounds or so.

Yes the ramps on all para's have been the thorn in their side for some time. I have recently purchased a p14 limited, and all I can say is "YAY" they seem to have solved the problem.
Have spent 4 hours at the range, firing over 400 rounds, no cleaning trying to get the firearm to jamb, and it just keeps going.
