I just wanted to share how the first sight in went with my new rifle. Remington 700 Sendero 7mm ultra mag.
I had it bore sighted and then I shot a couple of shots at 25yds to make sure it was close. These shots are at 200 yds, Total of 10 shots First nine touching and then the single about a 1/4 in off to the center. I am shooting the nosler accubond 160 grain bullet with 93 grains Retumbo powder. I am just using a cheap scope this season and will upgrade to a good Leupold next summer. Is this average for you guys who are shooting the 7mm ultra? or are your loads getting you tighter groups? If you have any loads to share just drop me a email. Thanks Ron

Hi, Ron:
A 10 mph breeze will give you 3" drift at 200 yards. I'd say you'll have a hard time improving on that group unless it was dead calm when you were shooting. Looks like you've got a keeper.

Bye

Thanks Jack. Yes it is shooting real well. The group was spreadout because I was shooting nosler partitions and barnes x bullets with the nosler accubonds. they are all in the same area( just enoguh difference to spread the group l-r. Ron
