I am starting to buy hi caps for various pistols. I know factory mags and mecgar are the way to go but what about some of the other manufacturers such as pro mag and usa? Do these companies make any model of magazines that are reliable? What about military mags? I see a lot of south african browning mags. Are these any good. Magazine reliability is an extremely difficult topic to find info on so any feedback is welcome.

Thanks Guys,

Makman

The ProMags - Mag USA - MecGar - Ramline

All have functions flawlessly in my Glock. I rotate them so tht all get used, and have been shootin' 'em for 10+ years now. Picked all but the Ramline up new! Have more mags than I need, but wouldn't part with 'em
Once a mag goes bad, its usually the lips and should be destroyed. You won't ever fix it, once its bent! n

Good Idea though! good luck

I hope that you don't throw away those mags, because a good smith can make them work just fine. springs may need to be replaced sometimes. If the lips are cracked of course the will need to be pitched. Bobby
