I shot this 140LB Buck 2nd day of Smokepole season 11/2/2003 at 40 yards using a scoped TC Black Diamond using a 295gr Powerbelt. got this one on the hoof, picked a window and as soon as he apeared in my scope I squeezed. The Cva did a good job got both lungs, Now I'm back to bow;) Aim small hit small. RAMbo.

Good going, Rmouleart - A deer on the ground is venison in the pot!

Guess I'll have to get my Blackdiamond out and dust the cobwebs off this winter with a little shooting at the range. Glad to hear the 295 powerbelts did a good job. I'm still trying to figure out what to shoot and what kind of propellent to shoot it with.

My deer season opens next week - really looking forward to it.

Now the pressure is off and back to the ultimate challenge,I was lucky he was a buck,due to bucks only having one day for doe&buck, well I'm back to bow. I have been beating the bush since Sept 15, came to draw 6 different times, for some reason or other the shot did not produce itself, My patience was warring thin, glad it all worked out.Take care.
