I own a Kel Tec P11 and the trigger pull is LONG. I want the pull to be shorter and the hammer to drop sooner. does anyone know how to adjust it.

If the p11 is like most kel-tecs I'm familiar with, the long trigger pull is deliberate as this gun has no other real practical use , exept for defense / personal protection. I dont think this gun has any external types of safeties and the long trigger pull is in essense duplicating what you would have on a double action revolver . Shortening it would make its use as a carry gun a little more on the unsafe side as your ability to control your "use of force". in a high stress situation in other words less opprotunity to back off if situation dosn't call for discharge of weapon.

Own one, and I don't think that you can shorten the trigger pull...considering the way it's designed, need a good stiff spring to power that light weight hammer, and a long pull spreads out the weight of that spring a good bit.

Can smooth the trigger a good bit...is a good KelTec web site...but basically it's a short range self defence gun made to be as simple as possible.

If used in self defense, you might get into some legal entanglements if you modify the weapon. I have learned to shoot mine very well with Militec1 treatment to smooth the action a bit. Real soft shooter for such a light weapon! :D

If you log onto www.ktog.org on the web and go to tech stuff, there are a number of posts dealing with smoothing the action of your P11, lightening its trigger pull, and even shortening it a bit. I own one, and I agree it has one of the most uncomfortable triggers I've ever experienced. It's end is narrow and pointy, and it bites into my finger. To try and do something about it, I reduced the gun's trigger pull a little - from 9 lbs. to about 6 lbs. - following instructions gained from the ktog site. It makes the gun a little easier on the trigger finger, and reliability doesn't seem to have been effected. Although there are instructions for shortening the pull, I left mine long for safety reasons. . :)
