Ok People I got a GOOD ONE!!!

I wonder what is your favorite handgun(s) that you've ever shot??? (Yeah I know. Very hard decision, but hey it's all in fun ;).) And then what is your favorite handgun(s) currently in your collection?? (These should be some great answers :D.) And if you feel like teling, why are they your favorites??

Two handguns that come to mind (first category) is a S&W 38-44 5 screw and a Colt double Eagle 45 acp.

Current favorites are my S&W 625 45 Colt and Ruger .22 MKII bull barrel. Why? They point and shoot the way I like and want them too.

S&W Model 629, 8 3/8" barrel(for big bore) or the Browning Hi-power 9mm(for small bore)

Colt Delta Elite Gold Cup 10mm and my FA 454. Both are beautifully built and accurate. Tough choice as I have others, too. But given just two choices these are the ones.

Ruger Bisley in .41 Mag and my XP-100 in .284 Winchester for hunting needs.

For fun I'll take either my Kimber Custom Shop .45 or my 10mm. I love 1911's. The 10mm is too new to make it the absolute favorite yet, but it may need a trigger job from Cylinder & Slide before it takes the crown. The 10mm could prove to be a great hunting handgun for 0-50yd deer with open sights, after the trigger is suitably massaged.

I have pistols by Ruger, Smith & Wesson, Firestorm and Springfield Armory. All have their good points obviously or else I would not have bought them. But my favorites of the group are the Smith & Wesson revolvers. I have two K-frame .38 Specials (model 10 and model 14) and an N-frame model 624 in .44 Special. All are accurate and just So Sweet to shoot. I even took my first deer with the 624.

My very first OM Ruger BH in .45 Colt. It was "right". Didn't lead with anything and was a pleasure to shoot.

Never found another one like it.

Ruger Super Blackhawk w/ 10 1/2 in. barrel, stainless steal. A little heavy for some, but I love it and dont even mind wearing it on my belt,(no scope though). I've also had the chance to shoot a s&w 745, special edition that was a pretty smoothe shooter.

COLT Gold Cup National Match Series 70. Shooting Perfection. I shot it all day long against a Wilson Combat CQB. Shot just as good as the new CQB which cost more than three times as much as my Colt. I only paid $500.00 for the CGCNM. What a deal! Do you think I will ever part with the Colt?

44sandw, I have the same 629 with 8 3/8" barrel, but put on the crimson trace laser grips. I love to shoot that 629.

Howdy folks,
Two come to mind. The first was High Standard Double Nine.
I paid $75.00 when I got it. Shot the crap out of it and mistreated it for three years. Sold it for $100.00. Kinda unusual for me.
The next is my all time favorite. A smith model 14-3 with a 6 inch barrel. Now the fact is I am not that good of a shooter anymore. Used to be alright but with a little age and a couple of problems, well, it makes guns act funny. But not the smith.
If you hang a target and tell the gun where it is it don't matter where you aim. The gun will hit the target. No kidding.

Right now it is my S&W500 and my BFR in S&W500. I also enjoy my Encore pistols and Ruger Redhawk 44 MAG. But I have to mention my carry gun a S&W model 66 in .357 :D

You're right, this is a toughie. Favorite in collection would be an 1851 Navy, cuz it was my Dad's fave. Most fun will have to be split up between my Charter Bulldog Pug 44spl; Star PD 45acp; and Uberti SSA clone 45c. Can't drive tacks with any of them, they're just a hoot to shoot! Best accuracy I still own would have to be Colt Trooper mkIII 357, best I've ever shot, hmm.... Dan Wesson 15-2v 6" 357; wish I'd kept it.
So many guns; so little time to use 'em

 Well, everybody, I love the answers on the thread so far. Lots of guns mentioned that I'd like to have. ;) Y'all may be wondering why I haven't posted my favorites on here yet. Well, I've been having a little trouble deciding actually.:D I've got a few. None of them I own yet mind you, cuz I'm not 21 untill a little over a month from now. The ones in my dad's collection I like most: I have three. a Llama .45 cal. IX-D. It holds 13 shots (pre-ban, and the mags for it are $180 WHEN YOU FIND THEM!). The others are both .357 mag Taurus revolvers. A model 65 with a 3 inch barrel on it, and a model 617 (blued steel not Titanium.), which he bought to give to me when I turn 21. It's gonna be my carry gun. And before too long, I'm gonna order laser grips for it form Cheaper Than Dirt. They are both excellent guns. Very accurate. The ones I like most that i've shot?? I shot a Glock 36 slimline in .45 auto that I liked, ecxept for the DAO trigger pull. Shot a Ruger Vaquero .44 mag. that was real nice and accurate. (If you haven't noticed by now, I REALLY like a good magnum revolver.) A friend of mine has a Ruger Single Six that's real nice. My dad had a Walther p38 9mm that was real accurate. I'm sure if I thought about it some more, I could figure out a few more, but I'll stop.

As for all future answers: Y'all don't have to limit your answers to just one or two. I'm pretty sure no one's gonna mind if anybody does.;)

Keep the replys coming.
