What are the things to consider when choosing a taxidermist? I want to get a buck wall mounted. Does anyone recommend a particular taxidermist in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois or Michigan?

I would look around and try to find a mount that you like, then inquire about the taxidermist. I don't know how far you are from Cabela's, but would bet they have a few recommended taxidermists in your area.

If the reason for your inquiry is about that huge buck you posted about here, I would spend a few extra dollars and go with the best taxidermist I could find. Jonas Bros, in Colorado and Leading Edge Taxidermy in Cody, WY do excellent work. They aren't cheap, but from the mounts I've seen that they do, they are very very good.
