Cooking my rear off...posting as things simmer. Made it a point to cook as much self-shot/gathered game as possible this year...but I cheated and bought some things as well (and I didn't shoot the vegetables).

There is Alligator (not shot by me) and sausage (deer mixed with wild pork...shot them both) sause piquante simmering on the stove. Duck (by way of Wild Turkey company recipe, but I get these two with a 10ga. percussion) with Burbon and Bing Cherries. Wild rice (bought) and pecan (gathered those) stuffing. Turnip and squash casserole. Got enough pecans from that old stand to make a pecan pie as well...but I can't bake to save my life, so the wife will take care of that one.

Still got a bottle of "cheery bounce" put up last summer...can tell I've sampled it a bit....and I guess I'd better make some bread.

If you can find me, come on by for a taste.

Mmmmmmmm..... be right over!

Finished curing a ham from a small wild pig last week, it sure was good!

Everything tastes better when you personally gutted it, I always say.....

The pizza place is providing supper tonight, I've been informed, and the Honey Baked Ham store is plunking the ham on the table tomorrow -

As you guys can tell, I came up empty this season!
