How about a good forum for trappers. I know it has dwindled to a hobby in most areas but I think a hobby well worth learning.
Interesting activity. I read about it in one hunting/fishing/trapping magazine I subscribe to ...but haven't tried it. I will say that it is a sure fire way to get my wife, who shoots and has no problem with hunting, to get riled up. I guess I should buy her a fox jacket and see what she thinks. There is a forum on www.graybeardoutdoors.com that pertains to it, but I can't attest to the quality of the posters, as I've no knowledge on the matter except book larnin'.
The fur trade is actually making a rather large comeback, so prices are rising...sure to increase the popularity. The US Fish & Wildlife is also studying ways to make sure it's done in a humane manner. I normally wouldn't trust a agency of the government to protect anything that isn't popular, but it seems that they may actually be working with, and in the favor of, trappers. They are actually using folks who participate in trapping to come up with the results of the studies...if only this wisdom was extended to other areas of public land use and wildlife regulations.

Try Trapperman.com very informative and good links.
Illegal to leghold trap in Arizona, except private property, which is very limited.
The bambi huggers were afraid "Fifi" and "Butch" MIGHT get caught in one of the dastardly things so they managed to get a law passed prohibiting trapping except as above. Never actually heard of a pet being caught up in a trap - evidently, they just wanted to make sure it didn't happen.
Sad commentary on the present times when just the thought can cause laws to be passed.
