Our deer season ended Jan 1. We have a stand on our club on a food plot that had tons of sign throughout the season. I sat there several times (as did other members) and only saw one spike this season (no one else saw deer there). During the last week and a half, the pigs have moved into the field and just mauled it. So, I decided to sit there yesterday afternoon in hopes of getting some "bacon."

Well, wouldn't you know it. At about 5:00 p.m., I had 6 bucks in the field feeding. One had already lost its antlers but the others still had theirs. One was a very big 6 point. At one point, they were withing 35 yds from me.

I guess thats why they call it hunting....

Nope. It just ain't fair. Now I have to wait until August again. At least there are pigs around and turkey season is just around the corner. Take care.
