I dont know the background of the shark photo, so I cant verify its authenticity (but its very cool anyway).

the iceburg photo came from a Rig Manager for Global Marine Drilling in St Johns, Newfoundland. They actually have to divert the path of these things away from the rig by towing them with ships! In this particular case the water was calm & the sun was almost directly overhead so that the diver was able to get into the water and click this pic... Clear water huh?! They estimated the weight at 300,000,000 tons.

Jlstorm, are you sure this is a shark, it seems like I saw this same photo from coastal texas, it was said to be a dolphin. i would not know the difference under water unless something bit my leg off.
The icegurg was incredible though, I am going to try to use that for my desktop.

thanks, John

Its funny you mention that, I was wondering the same thing. I am not sure, but I know if I was that guy, the first thing that came to mind would be SHARK!

I think, the first thing the shark would be thinking if I was the guy in the water, would be,
Man i have got to find some cleaner beaches to shop at.

Could be a dolphin, the fin looks different than a shark. The dolphins I've seen, limited as they are, where not that LARGE.

If you look at the pic of the "shark", the tail fin is Flat and horizontal, like one of a whale. Sharks tailfins stand up tall.

since I could not see the tail fin very well, I was just going by the dorsal fin being very short for the body length, and very swept back as well.
I also thought the tail fin was horizontal, just could not see it well enough to comment.
